Saturday was just awful for heat and humidity. Oban wouldn't stay outside with me. I'm surprised Stella liked it, none of ours ever had. Guess the lake breeze really helped. Did you hear about the dog in Grand Bend?
I think it looks like a pleasant way to spend a summer afternoon.

barry581, my enthusiasm for winter wanes quite a bit along about early February.
janedoe, sometimes Achilles goes flat on his side in the sun and stays that way for 10-15 minutes.
Macy, she liked it!
Annabellam, though Stella adapted well to Canadian winters she still enjoys warmth.
Snowshoe I did hear about that though not the details, so I can't pass judgment on that situation. I am a bit wary of people who leap to conclusions. For example I was at a fundraiser for Joe Maringo's Shades of Grey two weekends ago. It was a warm evening and a dog was in a minivan. A person circulated through the event and announced they were going to break a window to let the 'poor overheating dog' out. The owner was quickly found; she had checked on the dog less than five minutes earlier (I remembered seeing this) and she confirmed that the engine was running and the a/c was on. So in this instance the dog owner was alert and checking on her dog, and while someone else assumed the worst at least they shared their concern.
