As many of you know Penny went thru TPLO on June 1, and we've had complications since.
tonight after our walk Penny had, what I can only call a seizure. But I can really just say it looked like she died. She came back around, my friend drove me to the Emerg Vet. They checked her in and while she was stable they said her heart had an arytmia. After much discussion I opted to have bloodwork done and manage her at home and come back in the morning. Because, to be honest, i'm pretty strapped out on cash with the TPLO and compilations and likely plate removal.
When they brought her to me, while we waited to pay (she was on the ground, my friend and I were sitting on the floor with her petting her), she did it again. it's really horrifying. They confirmed after that her heart stopped. They got it going again (she responded very well to the CPR).
So clearly - change of plans. She is there overnight getting some tests and being monitored constantly.
