A black labrador puppy
Two days ago while I was walking there was this. Following me, climbing my foot.
Very little. I guess 4 weeks old.
We looked for her mom and siblings. No trace. Asked people and they said they didn't see a mom but they saw this cat alone in the morning too.
We spent some time around searching for mom. No success. There was a petshop nearby. We went there and asked the man too. He said this kitten is probably alone. I wanted to be sure because I don't want to take a kitten if she has a mom. There was food around, so mama cat can't be out to search for food. I see lots of litters, stray litters. Mama cats barely leave small kittens alone. And this was on the street. Normally mama cats keep their kittens away from people, cars. They hide them. And this kitten was running to people. Stray kittens never, they are too afraid because mom raises them a bit wild to protect them.
I bought a carrier. Put her inside. She vomited dry cat food. Decision was made. She was alone. I took her to the work. She waited under my table silently until we go home.
She is co cute, so small and sick.
I called vet and do what he tells me. Today we'll take her to the vet with the girls.
Ah, the girls. They want to lick her to death. I don't let them because kitten is so fragile now. One lick and she is totally wet.
Now, I make no decisions. First she needs to live. Then I'll think about it and will decide to adopt her. But I'm not deciding now, just seeing the future
She has no name.
I'm open to name ideas

Oh, she is so cute. You have the best dogs, Oya...how happy they are to be getting a baby sister. (yes, I'm assuming the decision has been made...there are three of you in love already)
I hope the vet visit goes well and it's a small hurdle you have to get over with her. You're sure it's a "her"? My black girl Trouble was supposed to be a "him"...the person who had her mother had decided she was a "him"...she looked like a "him" back there...and the vet said, "oh, no...Trouble is a "her". For sure.
We got my Charlie from a pet store that had adoptable dogs/cats displayed. He was listed as "abandoned/rejected". My second cat named Trouble had been rejected by his mother after the rest of the kittens had died/been killed. Abandonment isn't really that rare. Of course, something could have happened to your little one's mother...but maybe not.
Let us know how the vet visit goes. (The girls look really good...hope all has resolved with them.)
Thank you Barb
In fact, I'm not sure about her gender. Until I read your post I was sure but now not I'll ask the vet about this.
Charlie is a cute name by the way. I heard that cats love the sound "S". Do they also like "Ch"?
Here we call cats "pissy pissy pissy" and they come.
How People Call Cats In Different Countries | Bored Panda
We call "kitty kitty kitty"...most cats end up responding to that, but not all.
I used to mainly call our cats by name, sometimes following up with "kitty kitty kitty". Mine all answered to their names and numerous nicknames...and "kitty kitty kitty"
Thanks for sharing that...some of those cats are so cool (the one from Georgia reminds me more of a monkey). Interesting to see what they're called in other countries.
On the back end, if you see a colon (, it's a boy. If you see a semi-colon (, it's a girl. Sometimes those punctuation marks are tough to tell apart, though, especially when the kittens are really young.
I think she looks like a great 'puppy' that would fit in with your crew. Thanks for your big heart.
Such a cutie! You might as well go ahead and name her! I was supposed to foster a kitten for 2 weeks. That was 13 years ago! I'm a foster failure & proud of it!
She looks like her name should be Ebony

Poor little kitty. Thank you so much for taking her in and getting her to the vet. Little one needs a helping hand.

I love this thread. I think this is fate, Oya, after the last poor cat you worked so hard to save. And that's all I'm going to say about that, except, see the cat in my siggy? With Oban? Turned up a year ago, thought to be feral and a year old then. Joey slept beside me last night, as he has done for the past week.
Hope kitty just needs some food, worm and flea meds. Coming up blank on names right now. Ooh, "Hope?"

Wow they are so cute.
What a cutie! I would name her Smudge. But I like Anisette, too. Black cats are good luck if they are yours. Looks like luck found you.
