I don’t remember their exact weights, but I remember thinking that if they followed the rule, Cookie would finish up at about 65lbs (so similar to Chloe) and Sassy at around 60lbs. Right now, at 15 months they are about 55lbs and 50lbs, so a little under. Chloe continued to grow and fill out a bit until she was 2.5, so they might get a little bigger, but I don’t think they’ll hit those exact projections without being on the chubby side as both are shorter than their mom.

I've got a spreadsheet of all of mine here (incl some of the ones I co-owned or held breeding rights to). Winnie (my first) was a bit of an outlyer due to the fact that girl "ate to live" (vs the normal lab that "lived to eat"). She was so thin as a puppy I had to put her on high octane food just to get the calories in her.

Most have been +/- 5# of the *4mos* weight. I asterisk that because 16 wks is not 4mos. 4 mos in Barry's case is in 2 days, which actually is 17.5 wks. When puppies gain 2-3 # on avg per week, that 10 days can make a difference.

And yes, it DOES depend on condition of the pup. Many show breeders around here have told me to "feed your puppy"... I personally like to raise mine w/ a smaller layer of reserve fat than others and before anyone jumps to conclusions, my own vet (who used to breed/show labs) has gone w/ another gal to evaluate litters for service work and has told me many were "obese" (her words, not mine).

I prefer to keep enough extra on my pups so when they have their little growth spurts, they aren't looking anorexic and also, in case of illness, they have a few days' reserve there to carry them thru if they don't eat well.

Zeke a week or so ago was 62.2 lbs. Today he is 10 days shy of 11 months.

a week over 2 months, gonna say he was around 15 lbs. Never thought to keep track of it though.

Hoku's growth was along the line that Shelley describes: she was 18 lbs when we got her at about 7.5 weeks, so right around 20 at two months. By 4 months, I'm pretty sure she was 40 lbs +/-. At 15 months now, she's just over 80 lbs—but I don't think she's really gained considerable weight since 10 or 11 months of age.

For the purposes of this post, let's go with 12 months for "full grown". I realize that many lines mature at faster or slower rates, so it would be almost impossible to determine when full grown is for each dog.

My girls usually stop growing height/gaining weight around 10-12 months of age and maybe bump up by a few more lbs into that second year, the males stop growing height/gaining weight around 12-15 months, then again put on another 7-10 lbs into their second year especially if they are intact. They can lose 1/2 inch in height when their chest drops and settles with maturity too.

    So, I'll play!
Katy was more petite than my others girls, so her puppies are usually a little behind the '10 lbs/month of age' table. Her male from her last litter is close, but the Gurls weren't 20lbs until about 10 weeks. From birth on, my Labrador puppies gain 2-3 lbs a week, until the major growth spurt is complete.

Friday weighed 34.5 at 16 weeks which puts her estimated adult weight at 69 lbs, which is right about where Katy was within a few lbs, a tad lighter.

Lola weighed 36.8 at 16 weeks, which puts her estimated adult weight at 73.6, which is just about what Katy was.

Now if I go by the online chart tool, based on weights at 16 weeks Friday would be 70.0 and Lola should be 76.3.
If I go by the chart today, or rather last week at 19 weeks, Friday should be 72.4 and Lola 78.7.
So, really, who knows? The sire I used sire is know for throwing height, and I was hoping for a little, I think Lola got some, Friday will be petite like her mom, I think, her male puppy will be good sized like all her boys, in the 85-90lbs range. The coming months will tell.
Will be interesting to see with them being sisters!

Brooks has been adding about 2.5 pounds per week. And yes it's the weight at four months old based on their birth dates, so I'll get Brook's weight on the 6th for his official weight for this post.

The vet practice I use has 4 different vets. There is one vet who does field trial and hunts, and is a HT judge, every time I see him he will tell me my dogs are fat. The others all think they look fine. Go figure.

I stuck this thread. I think full grown is 2 years, so we'll be monitoring for a while!

Interesting. For scientific purposes, I went to check Thor's records. He was born on 1/6/2014 and I have these weights from his vet records:
3/3/2014: 15.4 lbs (day after we brought him home)
    4/30/2014: 34.3 lbs
    5/21/2014: 42.2 lbs

His adult weight seems to have stuck around 69 lbs. He's been there since about 1.5 years old. He is about double his just short of 4 month weigh in.

Its worked on my 2 labs. Zoey was 34 pounds at 4 months, 67 as an adult. Aimee was a smaller pup at 27 pounds at 4 months, she is 58 pounds now and will turn 1 on the 29th of this month. She is a little girl. Id say the formula is accurate, give or take a few pounds of course

Agree with this. Mine grow height wise and finish ~10-12 mos but don't really finish widening until 2- 3 yrs at least.
PS Barry, sent you my spreadsheet!

Also agree with full maturity at age two and even later for the males, and the bitches change a lot with heat cycles or litters even.

I went back and pulled the closest weights to 4 months, not 16 weeks (August 15th), (I had weighed them on the 12th, 3 days early) and the gurls were 36.7 39.7, which would put them at 73.4 and 79.4, which seems about right to me. I will update as they grow.
