He followed me around at lunchtime yesterday making puppy eyes at me, LOL! It was hard to resist.
I would think that the GDA would want to keep them a bit on the lean side to help prevent possible joint issues. There is girl in my neighborhood who was raising a guide dog puppy as part of her college curriculum, and he was pretty small/lean. He was only 3 weeks younger than Bruce was, and you could see an appreciable difference.

Because I believe the point of this sticky was for folks to post at 4mos and THEN test the "theory".
Is that okay w/ you BERNIE, or do you need to interrogate any further for whatever reason? (maybe it's time to genuflect???)

Yes, that makes sense. Found out another puppy from his litter was 32 pounds this week so they are not all little, apparently. Will be interesting to see when Ferris hits 54 pounds. I'll keep you posted!

The OP wants to post every week.

And I'd have to say that weekly weights aren't going to do much but make for a lot of extraneous data to sort thru. I believe that Barry was posting his weekly update separate from this post (I know that wasn't how he stated it in the initial post though).

So if I may suggest, it'd be more efficient to have folks post their 4mo puppy weights (probably should limit to Labradors or state the breed/mix otherwise, since I know there are others w/ different breeds here too), then come back at ~age 2 and edit or reply to their 4mo post to see how close everyone was.

I had initially planned on posting weight weekly, but that quickly became impracticle as I didn't think this many people would be involved. I'm happy to see it, as it will give a broader sample size!!!

At this point I plan on posting an official weight on the 6th of every month, since today is a Sunday, I'll get his official weigh tomorrow.

I thought I had posted this already, but Brook's official weight on Nov 7th was 60.0 pounds.

So, Barry, at this point are you thinking the 4 months doubled rule is not really going to hold for Brooks? I cannot imagine one of Anne's boys getting to anywhere near 100+.
