No. The Nov 7 weight was his official 6 month old weight. I can't see him much more than about 80 pounds or so. I think he's going to be a pretty big boy, he's now 22" at the whithers (27 weeks old) and has a lot of skin to grow into.

He may have sprouted in height to his adult level already, and just now needs to fill out. It's funny how they seem to grow this way and that almost daily.

Friday and Lola were 36lbs and 38lbs at 4 months old, so if the rule of thumb holds true, they should be 72lbs and 76lbs at adulthood. This about what their dam weighed, Katy was usually right on 72-73-74lbs. I am sure their brother Khan will be a lot bigger at maturity.

I know. I have to laugh when Brooks and Sophie sit side by side. He's taller by at least an inch, yet his head is smaller. I just think I hope his head grows into his body!!!! I know it will, but it's still funny when I look at them!

Boys go through especially awkward phases IMO. Girls never seem to go through the uglies as much as boys. I call my puppy "tiny face" sometimes because while his head has definitely come on, it's still not anywhere close to where he'll be at maturity. Luckily, so far, he's grown really evenly so he has never looked like a pinhead. I'm sure Brooks will grow into his head and tail!

I agree with the boys having worse awkward phases than the girls. When Bruce was the same age as Brooks is now, he was all gangly, and his head looked way to small for his body. The one thing I've noticed with Brooks is that he runs like a big boy, and has since he was about 4 months old, I'm honestly amazed at how athletic and coordinated he is. He can easily keep pace with Sophie, and I think she's the fastest we've had other than my first Lab, Ella.

I've really been much more in tune with watching Brooks grow, than I was with Sophie or Bruce, so I'm noticing a lot of things I didn't notice for them. It's really been fun watching him grow and develop, and I could not be happier with how he is coming along. It seems that I have to keep reminding myself that he's still a baby because he learns so fast, and can do so much. When I'm out in public training with him people are amazed what he can do for how young he is.

Just realized I didn't post his 7 month weight. He's at 61 pounds, up one pound from last month. His height is now 23", still pretty lanky, but an overall nice outline. I looked at some pictures of Bruce as the same age, and they look pretty similar, however I don't have any measurements of height of weight from Bruce.
Bruce really didn't start filling in and looking masculine until was over a year old.

I did notice at training on Monday Brooks back end is a bit taller than the front while looking at him in a mirror from the side while we were healing.

Friday at just a few days shy of 8 months, (they will be 8 months old the 15th), is 64 lbs. I haven't weighed her sister Lola in a while but she is probably a few lbs heavier. Right in line for about 70-72-74 lbs at full maturity.

It's funny, when Sophie was almost 8 months old, I felt she was looking a bit pudgy, but wrote it off to baby fat. A couple days later I dropped by the vet with her, and she weighed a whopping 78 pounds!!! Needless to say, I cut back her food that day. She hovered around 72 until Bruce got here, dropped to 62 at one point from all the running and bitey face with him. When he passed she bounced back to 74 pounds. Since Brooks arrival she's down to 68, and I think it's about right for her.

All of the bitches I've had weighed right at that 65-70 range in their prime.

Brooks turned 8 months old today, and weighed in at 67.4 pounds for a gain of over 6 pounds in the past month.
