LOL! I had Sophie weighed on Thursday at the vets, and she was 66 pounds, so her and Brooks are the same weight, but he's 2-3" taller than her. Out of curiousity how tall is Thor????

Trigger is definitely on the smaller side, his mom is really petite, and dad is a "normal" sized guy, not big but not small. When i see pictures of some of the dogs further back in her lines, they're all "normal" to smaller. Plus, we've gone thru some kind of bacterial gut infectionbetween 10 and 11 weeks, that had the poor little tyke looking positively skinny for 4 or 5 days till the antibiotics got it under control and he could actually get some nutrients into him.

Vet comment on his 1st and subsequent visits after clearing up his gut has been "its so nice to see a labrador puppy thats not waaay overweight" He's got back a bit of that puppy fat so that if we have another gut/illness issue he's hopefully got a bit of a reserve on him.

Growth wise, both myself and his breeder (who gets to see him almost weekly) have been surprised that we haven't seen any of the awkward/ugly boy growth spurts - yes he's growing but he's been pretty even with how thats happening. Its funny, every morning when he streeettttccccchhheeessss himself out of his crate (wish i had a video - wonder if others do this- stretch the front paws out, then stand, then re-stretch the front paws waaayyyy out till belly touches floor, and back legs are now frog legs, sllooowwwwllllyyyy stretch/drag till back paws are totally out of crate, stand up, shake it out, and we're off running) i look at him and think, wow, you grew inches overnight buddy!

    He's 14 weeks today
7.5wks(weighed at the breeders vet before coming home-i forgot to weigh him when i got him at 8wks) 10.1

None of mine come out of the crate like that, but that’s exactly how my friend’s Toller does

its soooo cute to watch! his sister did it from an early age, but both boys were bouncing out of their crates. he now seems to feel he can leisurely emerge from his crate in his own speed!
Heard from his breeder yesterday, he's actually about a pound heavier and a wee bit taller than his sister now. He was the biggest when born and up to about 6 weeks, but when they were weighed a few days before going home, they were all within 0.5 of a pound of each other. he didnt gain/grow for a couple weeks, so his sister looked big next to him! The other pup lives about 3hrs away, but only 15 minutes away from the stud's home, so they're able to watch and see how he is turning out.

My guy is exactly double what he was at 16 weeks and he is 2 now. I do think we will fill out a tad more, maybe 2-3lbs. So I think the theory is solid. Won't offer up weights, he is little and not in breed standard for weight, but then hunting lines aren't often in breed standard.

Brooks is now 10 months old and weighed in at 70.3 pounds. I can see his chest/rib cage starting to develop. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow since it's going to be 70 degrees!

Trigger's 16 week weight from last Friday was 25.8lbs. it will be interesting to see what he weighs tomorrow, he sure has gotten taller this week - i really need to get out the measuring rod. Hard to do with a squirmy busy boy by yourself though!

Friday weighed 34.5 at 16 weeks which puts her estimated adult weight at 69 lbs, which is right about where Katy was within a few lbs, a tad lighter.

Lola weighed 36.8 at 16 weeks, which puts her estimated adult weight at 73.6, which is just about what Katy was.

*Update from yesterday (3/23/2017) and today (3/24/2017).

Yesterday Lola weighed 69 lbs at 11.25 months old, while today her sister Friday weighed 66.7 lbs also at 11.25 months old.

So, if they bump up a few lbs over the next year or so, Lola will most likely end up around 73 lbs, and Friday at 69 or 70 lbs.

So the theory is holding true for us, so far.
