He was almost 37 pounds at 4 months, which would mean 75-76 pounds at a year, so he is a bit light per the equation. He is a very, very active dog, and despite all the food and treats, he's been steady at his current weight for about 2 months. I do believe he will continue to fill in, and I still think he'll end up at 75-80 pounds. He has the frame for it, so the next few months will be interesting.

Baby Pip is 17 wks old today (4 mos old tomorrow) and weighed in at 34.6# this am. She appears to be on target w/ her Grandma Kiku (also one of Brooks' grandmas!) and Cousin Ruby, which would make me very happy if so! Anne

And Trigger update, he was 6 months on May 11th, and weighed 44lbs . he's really leggy right now, as his breeder says, "enjoy his sweet personality now, and in 1.5yrs, he'll be a handsome fellow again!"

Brooks weighed in at 72.1 pounds on 7/6/17. He lost a pound from last month, I figure it's because he's been so active with a lot more field training so I wasn't to surprised.

So, I weighed the chocolate Easter Bunnies Bella and Miley yesterday, on the 16 week anniversary of their birth.

Miley the Beast was 43.4 lbs, I sure hope the rule of her weight doubling does not hold true. She is a big girl, big boned, and dense and thick, but not fat, I think she just had her major growth early.

Bella is more reasonable at 38.4 lbs, she is also solid and muscular, and has a lot of bone, but is more petite.

Both parents are not huge dogs, so I would not expect a bitch of my breeding to level out at over 80 lbs.

I'll post some recent pictures from earlier this week so you can see them.

    Both girls

Just for fun I referred back to my original post and at over 2 they are nowhere near hitting the weights I predicted, which were 65 and 60. Cookie is probably 56-57, and Sass more like 52-53. Guess they were just chunky pups, LOL.

let's see, I just checked Asher's records from our visits...here is how he is lining up:

    Born 11/28/16 -

At 8 weeks old he was 9 lbs.

    March 4 months old - 29 pounds
    Aprl 5 months old - 36 pounds
    May 6 months old - 52 pounds
    June 7 months old - 62 pounds
    July 8 months - 66 pounds

At 6 months old, I changed his puppy food to adult. Might be the slow down in weight gain? In the last week it seems like he has grown so much. He back legs are so long and his hind end is getting wider.....or so it seems! :-)
