    To the oulet mall

Did enough work here this morning, let's go see if there's any DOG PEOPLE at the stores, got the leash, cut up cheese sticks for training treats, thermos of cold water, (water bowl and thermos just stay in the car) aspirin for me (just kidding) and we're off.

Yeah, road trip! Archie loves going to the outlet mall. Well, Bass Pro since the rest of the mall is off limits to him.

You don't have the old outside shopping center type, huh? Bummer for Archie. This one has three horseshoes instead of all straight line but it's all outside. The girls working at Eddie Bauer run out with biscuits occasionally, a few others know we're regulars.

All good for meeting people. I've also found that every little town has a park, some not much of a park , but the dogs don't care.

They opened up an outdoor outlet mall here a few years back, and promoted it as being dog friendly. Most of the stores allow dogs to come inside, they have a sticker on them with a pic of a dog to identify them as a store that welcomes dogs. Tux has been there a couple times, a lot of the employees keep treats behind the counter. I think the last time he went was around Christmas last year, might be due to take another trip.

Sounds like fun! One of my 4 mo olds (littermate to Barry's pup) was here yesterday and that owner told me she thought Cabela's Outpost locally was allowing dogs in again. They had banned them initially, probably due to someone not watching close enough, so I hope she's right. I usually have to stick w/ Lowes, Home Depot and the local mom and pop hardware stores otherwise. I don't take even my bigger dogs into Petsmart and such anymore as we've heard too many stories of out of control dogs there, and after seeing/ hearing their training class recently, ummmm, let's just say I'm not impressed!

    Very excellent idea.
