Do you ever blame your lab for silly things?

We like to make Kimber our scapegoat for unexplained things. For example, I cannot find a small cooler I know we have. We've looked in all the usual places, and have defaulted to, "Did Kimber go on a camping trip without telling us? Maybe she took the cooler." I've also blamed her for the yogurt I was sure was in the fridge but is not ("Kimber loves yogurt"); adjusting the driver's seat in my car to a level neither I or DH find comfortable ("Is Kimber sneaking joyrides with her buddies?"); and our TV being mysteriously set to Animal Planet (obvious).

When accused, Kimber falls back on wagging and looking cute.

    Anyone else do this?

We don't usually, but maybe we'll start. One thing that is probably pretty common among dog owners though, a noxious aroma and my husband immediately says, "It wasn't me!"

Milo gets blamed for pretty much any bad odor even when I know it was the burrito I ate for lunch.

Miles, our Shih tzu, gets blamed for every.single.thing that goes wrong. Thea never gets blamed for anything because she’s been pretty much been an angel her entire life.

It’s raining when it was supposed to be sunny? Miles’ fault. Favorite show didn’t tape? Miles’ fault. Grocery bag tears and groceries fall out? Miles’ fault. Caught in an unexpected traffic jam? Yup, you guessed it. Miles’ fault.

We used to blame our cat Ryan for everything but he passed in 2011 and the blame needed to be placed somewhere.

This is Miles. Totally blameworthy, right? ;-)

Oh, I cannot bare the cute face of my lab when I blame her. Never blame her!

Being it is just me and Hemi, of course he gets the blame for all kinds of things.

Hemi did you take the remote control?

Hemi did you take dads shoes?

Hemi did you mess up the bed? Usually true, he comes running and jumps on the bed and puts on the brakes it untucks the sheets a lot.

Hemi did you hide my phone?

Hemi did you fart? (Hey 50/50 chance of that)

The OH blames me. He's nearly always wrong and it was him. Says me.

Yep, everything. You know that "Thanks, Obama" meme? Where people jokingly blame Obama for the most mundane things like "the grocery store was out of milk. Thanks, Obama." Well, it's the same with Thor.

Someone must have moved my keys. Thanks, Thor.
    Dinner is overcooked. Thanks, Thor.
    It's raining! Thanks, Thor.
I forgot to get gas! Thanks, Thor.

YES!! ^^ This! We're screwed when we are petless because we'll have no one to blame. Although, I could get behind blaming Ryan from beyond the grave.
