I am seriously considering Rainbow Dash for my next puppy name. no more human babies for me.
What's on your short list of names for your next puppy or baby?
Babywise, I like Patrick Anthony for a boy (DH is a III, so FDS will be a IV) and Annika, Leah and Katja for girls.
Puppywise, I like Thumper!

I can't imagine either at this point.

Baby: Daniel or Danielle
Puppy: Tark
No babies here, thankyouverymuch!
I have no idea on the puppies. I can only think of good girl names but I don't do girls, just boys. I won't get another puppy for several years, so I suppose I have time...
When we got Thor, that was my husband's choice. He's a blacksmith and wanted a strong forge dog with a big strong name. We ended up with a big blonde goofball (who we love very much!) I keep joking that someday we have to get him a black lab little brother to name Loki. However, my name list comes from my two hobbies: mountaineering and craft beer (hey, they balance each other out nicely...). I wanted a girl named Cassie, short for Cascade - both a hop variety and a mountain range. I also liked Barley, Zeus (a hop variety), Nelson (another hop variety), Summit, Sierra, Inyo, and Talus. They're still on the list for our next pup, whenever that may happen.
I'm a firm believer that the dog names itself. We went in with a list, and the minute I picked him up I knew he was a Thor, even though it wasn't my first choice.
I like my Labs black and males only, please. I rarely pick a name before I see the puppy. I would like to get my next puppy from a breeder that picks a theme and names all the little ones in her litters and the name may very well stick! The litters that I have been able to watch whelp and grow up have had great themes and names.
Babies - my youngest is finishing his last year of medical school, that ship has happily sailed!

Ozzy - 10/2002 - 06/2011 - Rest well my sweet boy. You are forever remembered, forever missed, forever in my heart.
I have a list for both of these things on my notes app on my phone even thought I don't plan to get either anytime soon. I try to write down good names when I hear them.
For baby names- I have a student in my class named Theodore (Teddy) and I like that name very much for a future boy. He also has a little sister named Josie and I love that too! I have also loved the names Gus since my first class when I had an adorable first grader names Gustavo!
For puppy names-I've got Mercy and ziva for a girl and Archie for a boy(I know, not that original).

No babies for me, no matter how many guilt trips my parents try to lay on me.
I have a running list of boy names for the puppy that arrives in THREE WEEKS, but I'm not completely sold on any of them. He will likely be nameless for a couple days. Girl names are much easier to come up with, but I prefer male dogs. Anyhow, here's my short list...
