Sorry but I think that's the height of stupidity. Wonder how they'll feel when their dog is shot by some idiot mistaking it for an escaped lion. There's one on the internet where the dog is a labradoodle, I think, and it's all it's own coat clipped to look like the mane and the tail. And it gets loose by mistake. Not to mention scaring people. Sort of like the ones where people put a huge spider outfit on their dog.

Most if not all of those were totally fake, as well.

But I agree that it's dumb, and a good way to get your dog shot.

A lion is ALOT bigger than a dog. Not to mention they look nothing like each other, move nothing like each other and the likelihood a lion would be romping around the suburbs is slim to none. The video is staged, it's just for fun. This is harmless.

Sorry, but putting a dog at risk is not good. Plus, they partially shaved his tail.

Milwaukee dog shot after reports of lion on the prowl set city abuzz - World - CBC News

Some years ago in a town south of me a woman reported a lion running loose in her backyard. The animal was caught and safely returned to it's rightful home. It was a large domestic cat.

I'm waiting for the next chapter in the saga. I can see the guy calling his wife from the hoosegow...

"Honey, I need you to post bond for me..."

"OMG!!! Bob! Where are you? Are you OK?"

"And I need you to spring Bingo from Animal Shelter."

"What happened? Did Bingo bite someone?"

"No. Uh, I shaved his tail and dressed him up like a lion."

    "....?"

"Honey? Honey? Are you there? Sweetheart?... Baby, they only give me one phone call..."

    Really stupid.

What happens when someone gets hurt running away? Or shoots the dog?

A lot of this looked staged to me, including the police...but not all of it.

Dog looked proud of himself, though, didn't he?

The dog was apparently having a great time. Tennis ball and all.

Fun idea but could end badly with the wrong people.
