Sudden new growth on remingtons Neck....Just appeared

It's like the size of a pea and had a scab on it I thought it was a tick at first but it's not, it was just a scab on top of the little red thing...Idk what the hell it is, He don't go back to the vet for another week, he is still on prednisone for his allergies and is doing well w that, but suddenly tonight I was petting him and found that ...real odd..Looks like a wart the size of a pea...???? anyone know what this could be suddenly??? Thanks

Histiocytoma was my first thought, but it can be hard to differentiate them from mast cell tumors (sometimes called the “great pretender” because they can look like anything) just by looking, so I would have the vet take a look at his next appointment.

Since she's on predinisone, I'd keep a close eye on it, whatever it is. Hot spots, bug bites, or other usually minor skin infections can potentially get bad fast if a pup is on a steroid.
