I'm sorry you didn't receive better results. Sending good thoughts for both you and Zach.

Hi all. It's been a long week. We met with a holistic vet this week and Zach did a Vitamin C IV drip. It has helped him considerably. He is feeling more himself and his anemia has improved. From yesterday to today his red blood cell count went from 20 to 28 with expectation that it will continue to improve. We are starting Zach on some supplements as well.
The recommendation from this vet is for Zach to have an aspirate on the liver and spleen. She does not feel surgery at this point is necessary or the right step because Zach is still gaining strength from his vitamin C IV so to have him have a large surgery and ask him to heal from that is challenging.

Has anyone done an aspirate? The vet feels that due to his history and scans it may not be hemangiosarcoma as originally thought but could perhaps be masses that resulted from his lymphoma that spread to his liver and spleen in which case treatment would be different than surgery so we shouldn't subject him if we don't know.

Does anyone have an opinion on aspirate? I know there are some Pros and cons but am interested in any personal experiences. I want the least invasive thing for my Zach and I don't want him to suffer at all. He is perky again and alert and feeling more himself.
