Probably. I notice for myself too, not just the dog. I drink a couple of big glasses after being out in the cold. I fill up the pet water bowl more often too.
I've been noticing in the last few weeks that Bacon has been drinking a lot when I come home from work. He is a weirdo who doesn't really drink in the morning, then drinks more in the afternoon/evening. I am wondering if it is the dry air. We turned our furnace on, and the air is very dry in the house. We have been going through a cold snap. I don't know if the volume is more than usual, he just has been more keen on getting water once he gets out of his kennel when I am home. Thoughts? The only other thing that has really changed is he has been trying a new type of treats. Maybe they are making him thirsty? We are going in to the vet next week for shots and his annual exam, I may bring it up to the vet too.

Probably just the heating. Ram's skin is getting pretty flaky.
Same thing going on here. We're having a very unusual and long cold snap as well. Lots of drinking and some itchies in the dogs, not to mention me, too. I use fire as my main heat source. You can get a humidifier, which is healthier for you, your furniture and your hardwood floors if you have them. I need to get one.
Tell the vet about this before the vaccines are given. If possible, take a urine sample to the vet with you. A urinalysis will most likely detect if there is a problem. In the meantime, put a humidifier in the area and see if things improve. Good luck.
