    17 days post-op / surgeon's update

    Hoku had her first post-op check up today. Surgeon said she's doing really well, healing marvelously, and he was happy with all of our care. She's going down to Rimadyl once a day, and we'll keep an eye on any tenderness should it appear.

    She starts her hydrotherapy tomorrow, and has been cleared for two 5 to 10 minute walks a day. We'll probably start on Wednesday.

    I feel the hydrotherapy along with physical therapy and taking it really slow are some important keys to success. I also was recommended to give supplements which I did for the 1st year.
