    Three Weeks Post Op!

All goes well. The incision is fully healed, she's on 2X 5-10 minute walks a day, and we're moving forward w/ PT (and walks 3 to 4x / day).

The walks are close leash, very slow. Inside, she is allowed to walk in the area of our dining room / living room (all carpeted). I've also been doing "sit / stand / sit" exercises with her, and some figure 8s (all as per PT). Her balance never seemed compromised, and as we only allow her to walk slowly, when she does so she is weight bearing. She doesn't have a perceptible limp while walking, which is good, but I don't mistake this for a fast track on the road to full recovery.

Her range of motion is good. She's off all pain meds and Rimadyl, and is on bone broth and joint supplements. Daily massages.

It's going to be a long haul. But my PhD took 7 years, so a good 7 or 8 months to get her back to vigor is a drop in the bucket.

Photo in our living room as my husband was giving her a yamcicle. It looks like she's moving a lot, but the fact is that it's just poorly lit.

Not a very elegant photo... I admit my attention has been more on her than on photographically documenting the recovery. But at least I got one!

Her back end looks great! She's lucky to have such attentive owners. Hugs (and a yamsicle) to Hoku.

Gosh, on my monitor she looks dark chocolate. Her leg looks good, I can't see an incision at all. Maybe that's just because of lighting? Good work.
