Eating snow / chemo / nausea

If your dog is going through chemo and starts eating snow, that's a sign of nausea. I'm just putting that out there because chemo is new to me and when Fran started eating snow like there was no tomorrow, the oncology office told me to start giving her Cerenia. As opposed to waiting for her to throw up. Fran was so much better afterward.

    Poor Fran.

EAting a lot of cold stuff will make Oban vomit. some people feed raw food still frozen, Oban can't handle it.

oh my, I'm so glad you"ve figured that out and have an option to make her feel better!
friends have a BC who will eat snow till he's hypothermic. literally.. he just cant seem to be out for the dog walk without constantly putting his nose down and shovelling up big scoops of the stuff. even with a good "leave it" command, he just cant resist. They tried a regular fabric muzzle, but he figured out how to act like a snowplow and get the white stuff in. So thats now lined with a sock..
