You need to keep them away from your dog.

Maybe I read your post wrong but that is what it sounds like to me.....

Please correct me if I misunderstood......
Marley gets into EVERYTHING, I don't care if it is put away or not. He just finds it.. I have a toddler, so it makes it even more difficult as he hands him things and he runs off to chew. We've been working on it, he is about to be crated again when we go out as I'm not sure who is getting into things while I'm gone.

If it is an ulcer, then maybe it is from chewing, but I have no idea as no where else is irritated, just this spot. I'd expect more areas if it was from chewing. Even then, it's not like he gets toys every single day. It becomes the issue when our son hands him a toy through the baby gate and we don't notice right away.

I know it has been a while from your last post on this topic but i need your help. My dog, Zen, has the same problem as Marley had (pink spot on soft palate). We went to a vet but he said the same thing your vet said to you (to wait 2 – 3 weeks). I am really worried and I would be very grateful if you could write how the problem resolved (for Marley) and whether the spot disappeared by itself..Thank you!
