Oh Betty, of course I remember you and I missed you. Your sense of humour comes through, even with all that crap.

Oban had allergies, he was on Atopica, not shots. Then he had horrible diarrhoea and was found to have a serious gut issue, Lymphangiectasia, and when we got that under control the itches stopped. Just like that, boom, no itching. A newish member here is a VEt who may come on and say allegies, intolerance, sensitivities that result in itching stem from the gut and for Oban it sure seems to be true.

WE thought Oban's itchy problem was seasonal environmental but I did the Nutriscan saliva test on him and it did show some foods, some he had never eaten. ONe food is turkey which was the novel protein he went on with our new Vet who immediately put him on one single novel protein and one single novel carb and that diet alone made a huge difference right away to the diarrhoea and the itching. And TCM which I know you use anyway. Good luck with the pooches, maybe try a novel diet?

ok, i knew i 'd get responses from you guys even tho ive been missing and a turd
ok, confusing but i'll try to make it brief, gotta rush, nick working today and i cant tie my right sneaker, still.
eli, the frenchie, has had only one yeasty ear, which is not necessarily allergy according to my regular vet. he is the one who at 3.2 got pyoderma and off to the dermatologist at the hospital i like -not the one that misdiagnosed rex and said he had days to live.then i went on with my home cooked diet, chinese herbs and he lived 18 more months dying from something with his lungs and his liver levels were perfect wishing less than 3 months.
eli-the one they, the dermatologist is rushing me to give shots to-is on a pretty novel diet- raw goat and raw rabbit from haretoday, ground fine with bone and all the guts stuff. novel enough for me. he hardly scratches, masturbates like a human (no joke, my vet wants a video and i told him he's a perv) and sometimes sucks his toes, which only one toe came up with yeast. when the antibiotic was removed, cephalexin because the usual skin one did nada, in two days it looked like maybe he was getting prickly heat so back to the dermatologist where she said adamantly ALLERGIES and i felt rushed into the shot idea. spoke to both breeders, sire is a vet non practicing who breeds and shows and eli's dad is champion diego. yes, if there is a dog that shows allergies, immediately spayed , neutered and pet dog, non breeding . he was from kentucky and 3 grand. my fault, never investigated french bulldogs but i can not believe, since it's one of those dogs in fashion, that all those i see in NYC , with young folks, are on shots.
so, the last message i left was, dont do the serum, just get me the results of the blood tests and i did blood tests because i fear putting him out as flat faced dogs...ok you got that one.

vangie, guiding eyes dog, got 6 yrs ago at 2 and she was a puker from the start. tsunami puking. would get a shot of cerenia and be ok, for a bit and then start again.
I'm getting called into the shower so he can get moving but when i get back from the gym i will be back and fill in the rest.

thanks thanks thanks. i knew i could count on you guys.
gotta rush, promised the girls dunking donuts and coffee. should be cool balancing in the snow. wish me luck and i'll be back.
cant thank you guys enough for everything.
in a few hours i'll be here. keep thinking. i so appreciate it.

and a bit of good news. dr ding, the ortho, thinks i am phenomenal. and the pain dr made a mistake again, only giving me enough for 20 days which becomes a disaster with cvs. another long stupid story.
i'll be back, as arnold who i never liked , but now for obvious reasons, like more......you know me, the politics creep back in . doreen?????? i cant.

Hey Betty, when you hadn't been around since January I thought that maybe you were camped out in a grassy knoll.

so vangie refused her id food for breakfast and then again for dinner. i probably caused this but i added warmed up half free chicken broth, she ate, smiled at me, and then puked up the entire mess. i called the internist and luckily he's in and will see us tomorrow afternoon. i asked the tech that called me back about how much a scope is.
$2300. i just cant but have to. i sure hope this is not anything very serious because i will flip out. completely.
so let's see. if she has the scope -$6300 in two months . i am beginning to think i cant afford these two. not funny. i mean, really?
i will be back and keep you guys in the loop and any info for either dog is greatly appreciated. I'm not a happy camper and nick turned pale and just looked at me like .....i dont know what.
I'm sad and scared. for both of them, now vangie more than eli.
    bummer.

I AM IN LOVE WITH THE INTERNIST

no scope, no prednisone, no nothing. yes, he would have tried the no salt broth but if she doesnt eat for a day, no worries. my fear was it would be until he came back and i thought that was tues.

start feeding her regular, fromm, in with the id kibble. so far, so good. pray it stays. if she pukes every 6 weeks or so, ok, that's how her gut is, equivalent to people like me who have a rotten gut but i had ulcers and we aren't even discussing that now either. and as i walked happily out of his office, getting ready for the 175 dollar bill as he gave me about 6 cerenia which is the only thing that stops the puking i bump into the oncologist that i love (alan) but while i love her never want to use her. we chatted, i asked if her son was in college as she wasn't even pregnant when i first went to her but no, he's 14. then i fondly hugged , said my goodbyes and waited to be called to pay, while a woman started to chat with me and mentioned that she has spent 18 grand on her diabetic cat. i thought i would hyperventilate. i mean, 18 grand, but really, what do you do? oy vey. i cant even go there.

of course, i still have an appt with my regular vet as she is licking the hair off her feet and benedryl is doing nothing. hopefully, after i say no to prednisone, he has another idea because i am not doing shots for her either.

then i got a weird message from winthrop hospital dept of pathology and that is all they said-call back. pathology? well , i did take a urine test for the pain dr as they make sure the oxy shows up in your urine and I'm not selling the god damn pills on the corner tho last time he told me no xanex showed up so i told him his lab stinks cause i take it every day. so now I'm thinking ,after three calls to every office i can think off, that if cancer cells showed up in my urine (think I'm nuts, or it's jewish culture? or just plain nuts?) i remembered that 13 months ago i had to write some stupid letter to someone i think in pathology in order for me to get the metal they took out of my leg. and i went as far as saying jews have to be buried with the metal they took out which i think is true but I'm not that kind of jew but they told me the funeral home could pick it up and i told them I AM NOT READY , THANK YOU, FOR ANY FUNERAL HOME, JUST GIVE ME MY SCREWS AND PLATES PLEASE and then never heard from them. well, yes finally i get the manager and i say sweetly and sweatily "is this about the metal dr ding removed from my leg a year ago feb?" well well. yes it is. i make an appointment because i have to fill out 8thousand papers in order to retrieve the metal that i really wanted to show my grand kids, and she says "the entire office cant wait to me you and we all think you are so funny and should be on t-v".. yeah really, because I'm kind of nuts and already imagined all sorts of things but then got normal and didnt think if something showed up in my urine the dept of pathology would be the one calling me so now i cant wait till the secretaries get my messages because dr ding's secy already calls me "lucy" from i love lucy because after more than two years, she does know me, and my sense of humor has popped out and we do have more than a few good laughs but this one might make her think I'm cracked tho i blame it on my culture, telling her jews are usually wringing their hands and thinking the worst. god damn. anyway, my metal is coming and if wasn't such a dork i'd know how to photograph and share my metal with you all, if you had any interest which really, why would you?

ok, i have 3 kids here, god knows what the downstairs looks like, but i think the dogs are loose which probably means remi has dressed eli up as some kind of freak because she cant get over his monkey face and usually is climbing up me in fear . but a 70 lb (tho she isn't 70 now) lab does not frighten her .cole told me "vangie is really sweet and nice and i cant believe a prisoner trained her . i hope he wasn't mean or dangerous to her because she really is a nice dog. " 6 yrs old. cole. you know which one that is.

ok, gotta get the cake i baked alone for cory and dana's anniversary that i forgot cant be cut the same day (it s that chocolate cake, chocolate pudding, sour cream , chocolate chip cake that is so good you cant breathe but oh well, they can eat it tomorrow ) and then jack, the oldest said "and bubb, are you coming over to have some with us" and you dont think I'm going there with any answer so i looked a bit like i was ticking and i mumbled something that resembled "i dont know your parents plans" and ran away. remember, cory is my son and i dont speak, interfere ,ask questions, only answer when asked something and no one will notice that i cleaned the entire kitchen anyway so i won't be in trouble.
but i doubt i will eat the god damn cake and dont care anyway. it's snowing or raining or something and i am in pain so i dont give a rat's behind.
give me my oxy please and pray it works.

i hope I'm back now for good because really, i lead a very boring isolated life other than the gym with an 80 yr old lady that i think has a crush on me, and i dont mind but I'm not really into that. she already told me how beautiful my skin is, i didnt tell her i just had a tad bit of botox , and no thank you i dont want to come to your house, and then she had to compliment me while i was in that stupid cage how lovely and tight and nice my legs are. really, 80 and she's coming on to me. please please. at least if she were a hot 20 year old.

ok, gotta get an anniversary card going.

    later guys
