    8 weeks post TPLO!

At 8 weeks post TPLO, Molly is a SPEED DEMON! She is actually pulling on the walk so we don't go back in the direction of home, because she wants to keep walking. I haven't seen her this excited in over a year! When she puts her foot down, even her little toes spread out because she's weight bearing nicely. She's started rehab as well, has a class tonight too, to help increase muscle (her surgery leg is about 2-3 cm smaller in muscle than her other).

We have her 12 week check-up in a few weeks with more scans to see how the bone is healing, but she is motoring pretty good! We still have the recurring UTI issue ever since the surgery, so she's been on antibiotics and will be for a month but knee-wise we are really seeing nice gains! She still hops a bit when she tries to walk too fast. I think another step we're working towards we have been told, is stairs. The idea scares the ba-jeezes out of me but slow and steady...

Great news! We are just finishing our 15th week PO here. Hoku's cleared for activity, but we are still being cautious.

Have you guys been using the TPLO guide? We found that a huge help w/ at-home PT (in addition to all the stuff we did w/ the ortho surgeon's clinic).

I downloaded it, far from at that stage yet but it looks good. I haven't shared it with our surgeon yet, our next step is removal of sutures. Has anyone had any experience with you pup coming home with the fentanyl patch?

Ours had the patch. But I think it's applied more like a flea and tick application, it was between the shoulders.

I hadn't heard of the TPLO guide, looks cool.

No patch here; our surgeon does not like to use them and I've read that some Labs in particular don't do well on them (heightens anxiety?). But as long as you haven't had any problems, then that's great. Were you wondering about how to remove it?

So amazing! Congrats on your little one as well! It is one of the best feelings in the world when she doesn't want to go home quickly after a walk, she keeps motoring! I haven't seen this in sooooo long.

No, what's the TPLO guide? Your pup is perfect! What a cute picture. We've just been listening to our (super awesome) rehab expert and fumbling through recovery as best we can lol

It dissolves after a few days.

Timber had a fentanyl patch after his TTA surgery. He did fine with it. I think we had to cut it off-I dont remember it dissolving.
