Exclamation EMERGENCY - Peeing a lot of bright red blood!!!

Hi I'm Mae and my lab is between 6-8 years old and 80 lbs and his name is Gus. Last night he was crying and barking at me all night which is so not like him, so I took him out to pee and he pooped and peed. His poop smelled absolutely awful but I didn't think anything else of it.

This morning he was still freaking out so I figured he was hungry and gave he and my boxer their normal one cup each breakfast and water. He was still freaking and ran to the patio door and started crying at it so I opened it, thinking weird but maybe he wants some fresh air?? Idk.

He immediately started peeing a ton, and I freaked out and slapped him on the butt (which I never ever do and I instantly regretted )

Then he peed some more, and then he pooped a big smelly gross poop. This continued several times as I just kind of watched on and waited for it all to stop. Then I ran inside and filled up some buckets of water to wash it all away, and when I came back there were drops of bright red blood everywhere and a pool of blood!!!!

He continued to urinate with normal urine mixed in with bright blood for another couple hours as I continued to run back and forth washing it away with soap and water. When it slowed down I called the vet, and I will be taking him for an appointment in two and a half hours.

I am trying to calm down but I am so so so worried!!!!! PLEASE someone can you tell me what this could possibly be?! I know I'm about to go to the vet but I need to know right now what could be going on. This seems too intense for a kidney stone or UTI right?!!?!?

    Thanks for reading...
    please anything will help.

    Mae

No idea. But I really hope that you get him to the vet immediately. Good luck.

Thank you. And like I said, I have an appointment within three hours. That's the soonest they can see me.

An E-Vet might be a better option considering his condition.

Could someone please tell me what could be going on. I just need to know what it could be. Anything would be appreciated thank you. I am taking him to the vet way earlier than the appointment but I want to hear something now.

There's only one vet I know of who sometimes comes on here, so most of us are dog owners like yourself. I'm afraid it's nothing I've ever dealt with and all I could do is look it up online, like you probably already have. I'm sure if you were at the vet's office and poor Gus pee'd a big puddle of blood in the waiting area they'd sit up and take some action. I hope it's easily treatable. Good luck to you and Gus.
