Has any one tried this with their dogs for inflammation? Charlie has a limp on his left front leg. It started a few years ago actually and recently has gotten worse. It's really bad when he first gets up after sleeping. After he walks around it's not that noticeable. We been to the vet 3 times. The vet says it's arthritis and we just started adequan injections. Too early to tell if it's helping. Duralactin popped up in my email through Amazon. I'd never heard of it and was wondering if any of you have?
Thanks
Nancy

No experience but would love to hear a reply from someone who has used it. With the seniors, always looking for something in that vein.

Hmmmm.....
I wonder how it would affect those who are lactose intolerant.
The product Microlactin/human grade is cheaper than Duralactin and I see from Amazon where a lot of folks have had success with that for their dogs. Swanson's product is cheaper at Swanson and there's a coupon for 10% off at retailmenot (offsets the shipping charge). The pups and I are going to try that.

Ram takes Microlactin, I do think that it makes a difference for him. I had always ordered from Swanson but as of a few months ago they can't ship it to Canada anymore. Ram gets 1500mg twice a day. He's not crazy about the taste of the pills so I break them up as much as possible with a pill cutter.
SunDance, take a look at this thread.
Duralactin experiences
Ever have an ortho look at it? We've always had our best results with Hylasport. But why not look at something like CBD oil? It's supposed to be anti-inflammatory and pain relieving. And being that you are in CA, you should be able to get it locally. I have a place in CA I can find the link, you can look at it.

Oh, that's too funny. Old brain.
I'll try it again...maybe using the capsules will make a difference. At least (it sounds like) the dogs tolerated it....they'll get a longer trial this time. Too bad I didn't go into their notebook and see where this was something already tested but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised this go 'round.
You've got a good memory.

A friend who has a 12 year old Lab with bad arthritis (hips and spine) ordered it and tried it. Didn't help her. Her dog is in a really bad shape though and he is on prednisone long-term. It seems the only thing to be helping him.

This is the stuff I heard about but it's only in CA VETCBD Product Details | VETCBD
This is the stuff we use right now for Grace 400 Bad Request I do two eye droppers in the AM. She seems to be a lot perkier than in the past. I personally use the little roller they sell on my arthritis thumb and I swear it works almost immediately. It just doesn't last a long time.

Molly is currently on the new drug Galliprant for her arthritis, & it does seem to be helping her quite a bit.
