    Grace needs surgery!

Grace developed 2 little tumors on the inside of her eye lid. We need to get them removed. At the same time, we decided to remove 2 of her biggest lipomas since she'll be under. I HATE it though, she's 12. If we wait any longer, she might be "too old". I have to call and make her appointment. I think I am basically funding my vet's office single-handedly!

    Sending mojo for Grace!

FWIW, Jolie had a triple mastectomy (removed 3 “breasts” due to mammary tumor), a mast cell tumor removed from her side, and was spayed all during the same surgery when she was 12 and sailed through it with no problems. The spay was optional - we said to only do it if she was tolerating the anesthesia well, but she was doing fine so they went ahead. Not sure why her owner hadn’t done it when she was done breeding her, but we didn’t want to worry about pyo if it could be done safely.
