oh man I've been lucky about not having hoovers (even fosters). I mean Rocky eats poop but mostly that's gross (with the potential risk of worms and stuff). A dog like Linus would scare me (at least it seems to only be ONE thing). I hear stories about dogs that are terrible about everything.

LOL! That’s what I was thinking. Cookie ate a sock once as a puppy, and we didn’t know about it until she puked it up. No idea how long it had been in there. We still have socks go missing on a regular basis, but I don’t think the dogs are getting them ...

I'm glad he was able to vomit the toy up, definitely a preferred outcome. Back in the day, Tanner would eat socks and gloves pretty often. I remember one time inducing vomiting a couple days later and a glove came up. Always best to check with the Vet though on whether inducing vomiting is safe or not.

Just last week Griffin chewed up a large hard cover book. Guess what, had to induce vomiting as it was only an hour after he did it. I thought at 15 months he could stay on his own for different short periods out of the crate haha...

I've probably told this before. Anthony cannot be left alone for a minute. Instead of eating the 'hooves' on the rope toy, he ate the rope and started vomiting. Off to the generalist vet, put an IV in and tried to pump him with fluid to move it through. Thought he had calmed down but started vomiting again that day. They sent him home with me with a port in just in case they had to do surgery to get it out the next day, and of course he ate the port and kept vomiting. Brought him to the Emergency vet and they hydrated him through the night and he passed it. They called me the next day and said come get him, I said we're 50 miles away are you sure you don't want to keep him another 12-24 hours to make sure he's ok? They said 'no', please come and get him.....please....he was bouncing off the ways with his cone on....glad you make it through!

I seen to remember someone's dog eating a leash, but can't recall who it was. I do remember the leash was eventually returned.....................
