Hi, here's an update, which is not good.

The vet highly suggested putting her to sleep. It's been 2 weeks and no improvement. She doesn't want to eat. According to them, they even tried giving her human food (chicken) to see if she would eat but they said she did not want that either. I went to see her, brought her favorite squeaky toy and some treats we had and she did not even want to play with the toy or eat the treat. She did lick the treat but I guess she can't swallow.

The vet said they will only try for another few days.

What's sad is we only had her for 2 days and the rest of the time she's been at the vet. She probably doesn't even know us.

The pet store offered to give us another puppy. My wife and daughters are thinking about it. Not sure if we will get another one.

That pet store should be shut down or banned from selling live animals.

Are they sure it's pneumonia and not parvo? 2 weeks is an awful long time to be that ill. Poor baby. Wishing her and you he best.

    I was thinking parvo, too.

I'm so sorry to hear that your sweet pup hasn't shown improvement....good thoughts continue to come your way.

And in all honesty, I wouldn't take another pup from them (or any other store selling puppies, but especially not that one).

Please, don't get another puppy from a pet store. Google "puppy mills". I really hope your girl survives. But if the vets don't manage to save her, please search for a reputable breeder.

Yes to the REFUND. They sold you a sick puppy.

When you are ready, we can help you find a reputable breeder in your area. I am so very sorry this happened to you.

Not the update we were hoping for. Poor sweet baby.

You definitely need to request a refund PLUS reimbursement for all your expenses. They sold you a sick pup and there is no excuse for that other than all they are interested in is money, not you and definitely not dogs. You'll have to push them, go public with this story, maybe even small claims court (I think they cover cases up to $5,000).

    Prayers being sent.

Oh, your poor, sweet pup. I'm sorry to hear of her prognosis. I wish it were otherwise - for her and for your family.

I'm so so sorry to hear about your sweet puppy. I agree with others that have stated you should demand a full refund plus reimbursement for all vet expenses. Do not take another one of their puppies. More than likely it is a puppy mill puppy and you could end up with another sick pup or years from now one that has lots of genetic issues.

If you really want a puppy look for a solid reputable breeder. People on here can help you with what to look for in a breeder. Best wishes to you and my heart really goes out to you.
