It was just ALT and it was because of medication. He was on Doxycycline and Rimadyl at the same time. Most likely it was Rimadyl or a combination of the two.

I just ordered the garlic/yeast product from Only Natural Pet....maybe that combination will be more effective for ticks than just yeast or just garlic alone (which I've tried in the past with other dogs). Also maybe I can now get these two to eat if a garlic product is in their food (they previously refused Springtime's garlic product and the food it was in).

Fingers crossed here...even though Dan's never had a noticeable issue with topical stuff, I really am concerned about keeping using it. I'll continue to use it until this stuff has a chance to take hold and start working. If I can get it in them, that is....

Prayers and good thoughts for your sweet boy. I can't believe he's 8 already! Where does the time go?

I know. It seems like I was just taking his "newborn" pic to post here.

    I'm sorry I missed this.

Our holistic vet had our Fran on Livco by Standard Process through Fran's chemo. Fran was on CCNU which is really bad for the liver. I'm just putting that out there because she has a very high opinion of the company and the quality of their products. Fran never even went outside of the normal zone and sailed through six rounds of that toxic stuff just fine.

All good thoughts for you and your Danny.

Danny and Sunnie are both eating this just fine....and I gave away the remaining tubes of the topical stuff. The more I thought about it, the more I realized I just didn't want to take any unnecessary chances with this boy.
