The vet called today with the results of Miia's blood test. They said her liver values were a little high and they were going to put her on an IV drip during the operation with medicine afterwards. I don't know what that all means. Barney talked with him and that's all he told me.

For the past 3 years, my Molly's ALT level has been slowly rising a little bit. Hasn't been alarmingly high yet, but vet said the fact that it is slowly increasing indicates something going on with the liver, even if might only be an aging liver. We have her on Denamarin for her liver, & no Rimadyl for her.....for her arthritis she is on Galliprant, which so far has been working well for her.

Miia went through the operation good. We have to call in the morning to find out when we can go get her. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for her. Any other particulars we find out when we go get her will be posted in an update sometime tomorrow. Thank you again.

Miia is home. We are complete again. Now begins two anxious weeks of keeping her calm (ha!) and keeping her from jumping on stuff. I have the bedrooms blocked off and the one love seat in the living room is very low, for the dogs. I also brought a dog bed in the dining room. She really, really wants to go lay down on our bed though. Hope she heals quickly and well.
