Glad to hear she's home and looking good. Those two weeks seem endless when you're in the middle of them but once they're done it feels like no time went by.

Miia's stitches started to pull apart a little bit, so we took her to the vet this morning. The vet was concerned about them holding together because he had to make a longer incision to get the large mass out. Miia also has a slight fever. They gave us cleanser, more pain pills and a stronger antibiotic. They didn't restitch it because it had already started healing. We have to take her back on Wednesday to get checked. I made a pair of "shorts" for her, so she can't lick the incision and she doesn't seem to mind wearing them. They said with this kind of tumor we can easily expect it to happen again and again, as long as it doesn"t get into her lungs. But, she is being an angel and doesn't want to be anywhere, but next to one of us. And here I was thinking how well the recovery was going! Hopefully, this is just a small, one-time hiccup in the healing process.

Sorry to hear that she had a setback. For what it’s worth, Scully had a (thankfully benign) growth removed from her abdomen once, and pulled the stitches after a few days so they had to let it heal as an open wound. It actually healed up very quickly once the stitches were out - we were amazed. Hope it’s the same for Miia, and that the growth doesn’t recur.

Hopefully the new antibiotics and pain meds do their job and she's feeling good as few soon

Hmmmm....recovery was going too smoothly....perhaps Miia wanted to regain all of her initial attention.

I hope the new meds and staying calm is all it'll take to have Miia back to normal fast.

Miia went to get checked again today. The vet says it looks good and she took the other stitches out. We have to keep up with the cleaning and medicine and take her back next Wednesday to get checked again. She's sleeping next to me now, resting up from that "scary" ordeal of going to the vet again. And I'm starting to relax now, with that more hopeful report.
