Thank you for all of the replies, advice, and prayers. Shea is not doing great. I was able to move him with the help of a friend and get him to the vet. They gave a number of possibilities but no certainties. The majority of possibilities do not have a good prognosis. They suspect something neurological. What we decided to do was have blood drawn to do general tests and also got some pain medication and an antibiotic in him, as he had a slight fever. We should have a better idea tomorrow of what to do based on the lab results. Right now I am just keeping him comfortable, keeping him company, and praying for a miracle. Any additional thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. I hope the results come back with a positive way to move forward.
Thank you for updating us. Continued good thoughts coming your way for the best possible outcome. It's so hard to see our furry family members suffering.
Hoping Shea improves! Do keep us updated.
Thank you for giving us an update. Hoping it's something that will improve with your TLC. If they could just tell us what's going on, where it hurts, what they feel like eating.
Hoping the antibiotics help and he begins to improve!

I hope you get some good news today and Shea can feel better soon.

Thank you for the kind words and support. The vet gave us a very grim outlook yesterday. Last night Shea had a really bad night. Taking what the vet had told us and Shea's state overnight, we felt that today would be the last day with our guy. As I was on the phone with the vet, asking a few questions and discussing options, Shea stood up (for the first time in 4 days), walked up to my husband who then opened the door for him and Shea went down the stairs and out into the yard to go to the bathroom outside (for the first time in 4 days). He has started to get up and down easier, he was following me around fora little while, his tail has been wagging, and even ate his real dog food (we've been making sure he eats, but he would not touch his dog food). Oh, and even tried to steal my son's hot dog! While I am trying to not get my hopes up to high, these are certainly huge improvements. Please continue to send good thoughts and prayers our way! We've still got a long road ahead!
