That's so encouraging. I hope he'll continue to prove the vet wrong for a good long time.

I would be encouraged. What was the vet's diagnosis? Sorry I may have missed it. May have taken a bit longer than expected for the meds to kick in. Sure hope he continues to improve.

I’m glad to hear he is doing better! Did they do any tests for tick-borne illness? Not just Lyme, but maybe Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever? A friends dog had that last year - fortunately she is a vet and caught it quickly, but it can cause similar symptoms. That might explain by he is improving on antibiotics ... sending good thoughts for a continued recovery!

Shea has continued to improve! He is seeming like his normal happy, energetic, and food-stealing self! The vet did mention Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever as a possibility. Shea was tested for the general tick borne illnesses, but not the newer, less common ones. The vet seems to think due to his quick response to the medication that it is likely. He will continue on the medication for a full month to be sure he is clear of it. Thank you, everyone, for your prayers and good thoughts!
