When Jet got to the point her pain was escalating I called her breeder, a public health nurse. She suggested something a lot stronger but told me it, "would toast her kidneys." Meaning they would be damaged and shut down sooner. I went with it and even my Vet was not happy, saying basically the same thing. It may have shortened Jet's life, I don't know, she didn't show signs of kidney damage. But she did hurt her back again. I may have shortened her life a bit but to my mind, what was a life in that kind of pain?
I totally agree with you. Pain is the worst thing ever.

Sending more hugs for you & Cilek! If you can get Galliprant, it might be worth trying--it is still helping my 13 yr old Molly.....
