Hope the meds help! Glad it's not an obstruction. I had a situation with Samson back in May. Perfectly normal Saturday evening when it happened. He tried to vomit but it was coming from very very deep in his chest. All that came up was white foam. Biggest problem was he kept trying for what seemed like forever. We went out back and he started peeing then pooped at the same time. It startled him as much as me. I went over to him and he took two steps and went down---a controlled down but down fast and all the way. He wouldn't even let me raise his head into my hand. Can't tell you the panic and fear going through me. Laid on the ground with him for what seemed forever but was probably 5 minutes. I just laid there talking to him and trying to keep him awake. I was about to run over to my neighbor to help me get him to my car. I was able to get Samson up and we walked in. He was wobbly and wasn't walking straight. He couldn't lift his legs up two deck steps. We walked through the house to the car and went to the vet immediately. In PJ's!! I didn't even think about it (thank goodness I had on a bra! lol). Vet was very thorough. Blood tests, x-rays, etc. He found nothing. He said that when Samson was trying so hard to vomit from so deep, his BP plummeted and made him weak and disoriented. Vet said I was lucky he didn't completely pass out. He gave him an anti-nausea shot and we went home. We spent 3 hours at the vet and by the time we left, Samson was nearly 100%. The shot made him lethargic the next day but otherwise, fine. Sharing this incase your guy struggles to vomit. Just keep it in mind. I have never felt so helpless. This has been quite the year for Samson and Asher. These boys keep me on my toes.
Edited to add -- never did figure out why he was trying to vomit in the first place? No other issues.

Hope that Cooper is back to feeling better today. My first thought was kennel cough too maybe he just picked up a little something there or just excited to be back home, what ever it was I hope he is over it.
Glad that Sampson is ok that had to be pretty scary. If Ginger gets an upset tummy she sits and shakes all over scared me the first time it happened ran her to the evet they gave her a little something for her tummy then.

Hoping for a positive resolution to Cooper's problem, best news was no obstruction. Situations like this really scare us with our dogs and though we may feel helpless, it is the time to get going and do sometime to help them.
I hate when you call the vet and they sat wait and see what happens. I have already waited and want some action now, that's way I called the vet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just seeing this. Poor Cooper. Glad it's not an obstruction. Hopefully the meds and some tummy rest will be the answer. Lab board mojo being sent.

That was my first thought too...Cooper had an obstruction when he was 16 months old and he was acting the same way then as he was Tuesday. Thankfully he hasn't vomited since Tuesday evening, he is tolerating the bland diet, tail is wagging and he is begging to play He hasn't pooped since Tuesday, hopefully because he was fasting and then on such a bland diet and small quantities....I'm on poop watch now
