O yes, poop watch and hoping! Only dog people would be elated to have a good dog POOP!!!!

My chocolate, Duke, had an episode where he was not acting normal (acting drunk) and throwing up white foam. After a 3:00 am trip to the emergency vet and a follow up with the regular, consensus was that symptoms were caused by pain from a bone chip on his scapula. Any chance Cooper is in pain from something?

Up until this morning I would have said no...but this morning something is definitely going on with his bum. I'm hoping it's gland related as he keeps sitting down quickly flat on his bum like he is going to scoot on the floor, but then doesn't move. He is also swinging his head around quickly towards his butt as if something is wrong. He finally pooped this morning, a normal poop....but something is definitely off with him still
I think he is still nauseated too...he will occasionally lick his lips repeatedly and has drips of saliva falling off onto the floor (with no food around to make him drool) which leads me to think his tummy is still off.
We are off to the Vet again this afternoon at 2:30.....
ETA: He is still taking Cerenia 80mg for nausea

Sorry to hear he's still not right. These guys can sure put us through the wringer. I hope it's just still some viral nausea related thing.
That near fainting spell he had can happen in humans as well, stimulation of his vagus nerve with the hard vomiting is what it sounded like and what the vet's explanation sounded like to me. I hope for no more of that either!
poor dude. but glad you have an apt before the long weekend!

Cooper is doing well....he is back on his regular food, off of the anti-Emetic and back to his old self
His anal glands were red, swollen, painful and full...once they were emptied he was feeling much better.
Thanks for all the good thoughts...happy my boy is feeling better...we have spent the long weekend camping with him
