    Good thoughts for Danny, please

Dan's ALT level was increasing and high enough to concern our vet at his last visit (259 if I recall correctly), so my little man's been on Denamarin and a homeopathic product for almost three months. I stopped using a topical flea/tick product and switched the dogs to a toothpaste that doesn't contain sorbitol...both things that could stress their livers.

I have my fingers crossed that this will take care of the issue.

He has a tech appointment for 7:50 tomorrow morning to have blood drawn and checked.

If you could send some "lower ALT" mojo this way, we'd be most appreciative.

It's bad enough that they're going to be fasting and getting a much shorter walk before that appointment...yeah, I'm going to torture Sunnie, too...I hate confusing the dogs. And I hope that feeding them a bit later tonight might offset the inevitable empty tummy syndrome gifts they might be inclined to present to me. I'm sure all will be forgiven when they get their normal breakfasts when we get home...as long as the empty tummies don't make themselves known after they eat. Bleah...that's even worse. But it'll all be worth it if we can get good results. (Sunnie might disagree.)

Sending mojo and prayers that the blood work shows improvement.

Do you think that a partial breakfast, a half hour wait and then some more breakfast might help with the sick tummy problem?

I plan to give breakfast in two halves anyway, Fran...but if there's a build-up of bile I don't think that'll affect whether or not breakfast will come back up (just how much reappears...I plan to wait a while to see when the second half seems like a good idea). I'm just hoping that, by feeding them a bit later tonight (but still OK for fasting requirements), we can avoid the bile build-up. (They'll still get their bedtime small treat at the normal time.) There've been times when it's been OK and other times (even sometimes between morning meal and afternoon treat) when the tummy just refuses to hold back on bile production. Dan is worse than Sunnie with this but even she has had the issue.
