If anyone has dogs with joint, hip or movement issues, here's a supplement

    https://img.chewy.com/is/catalog/823...460478783_.jpg

Since Abby's two leg surgeries, these have been what's kept her going for years now. It also worked for our other labs that were having trouble getting on and off the ground.
Just thought I'd pass along, many already know about it, but there's a chance someone was looking for a good supplement. It really works.

Thanks for sharing. I've been thinking about trying a new supplement.

Chloe’s rehab vet recommended this one .... they’ve been on it for a month or so. I can’t tell any difference, but at this point it’s more to prevent problems than because they were having any so who knows. She said she’s seen good anti-inflammatory effects with it. https://www.chewy.com/duralactin-can...oft-/dp/120971

    Understand

I wasn't seeing any results either until I doubled the dose. Now, I don't think she can live without it. Maybe try 2x? I hope you find something that works if that doesn't. Great looking Labs!

i have heard most supplements arent the right dose...but seeing creatine in there, thats a muscle/protein volumizer i think...make muscles bigger stronger.

Stella is on Dasuquin and it was making her bowel movements soft. Any effects with these vitamins?

    Stella

For the 5 years I've had Abby on them, and many years with other labs with hip/joint/movement issues I have never noticed any change in stool. Not once, and it has really changed my dog's lives over the years. It does have some creatine in it for muscle/protien supplement for support, but the main ingredients are a combination of the exact same things our nutrionist/health adviser would tell us to take for similar problems.

It may not be a consesus, every dog is different. However ,I've had 3 on it for various movement issues and has brought back many years of joy. Abby is about 70-75lbs ( she's tall for a girl ) 9-10 yrs old and takes two chewables in the morning and two in the evening with her meals. Hope that helps if you decide to try it, it's a better alternative to medicine if you can go that route. First found it ( another product like it ) in the vet's office that specializes in surgeries on hips, joints and CCL tears and recovery. Searching online, the triple strenght in the OP link was the best deal for the money. 240 chewables for about $50.

    Worth a try, good luck.

Can you clarify? Are you using two pills with the triple strength? Or two with the regular strength?

Thanks. Always on the look out for supplements we haven't used yet since they sometimes develop a tolerance.

2 chewables "of " the triple strength 2x a day. Total of four. They are not pills, actually can break over the dogs food with its composition. It has a beef flavor and Abby has no problem putting them down even after 4 years on it.

Sometimes I might just do 3 in warmer weather, and I don't notice a difference. Joints move more freely in the summertime. However, in the winter or in any season really- if she goes 3 days without it, she goes back to barely getting off the floor. That's how much of a difference it has made. After 2 CCL tears, it was recommended by the vet that she would have a life long diet of these supplements, and it sure beats her lying around on pain medication, I've seen that during her surgery recovery. It works for alot of different movement issues, start at two a day, go up to 3 or until you notice a difference.

Man, this company should pay me a little royalty for this post, and I'm not even in the dog food/supplement business

Seriously though, just order and try it out. Safe for all dogs unless pregnant or nursing I believe, and dogs over 1 year old.
Again, it what your chiropractor would tell you to take for that aching back, stiff knee, or joint problem.
Glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitin, etc. And a little protein we all need, but minimal in this supplement as compared to other ingredients.
