I have the 30C version of the Belladonna. We had some issues this afternoon. They were some kind of focal seizures not grand mals. She was violently spastic and the post-ictal afterwards was hard, she was ramming walls etc. I ended up just putting 3 of the pellets in her mouth. The next was about an hour later, I just did the same thing. I figured it couldn't hurt. She was lucid enough to eat and now is passed out. We have well water, but I'll have to checked out bottled water in the garage, otherwise I'll have to go out later or tomorrow for some spring water. I got the holistic appointment for next week. Gives me some time to sort out this mess here at home and then get the records transferred over.

I think the article meant Diazapam, real pharma Valium. Who knows.

Check her eyesight. As Ursa's neurologist taught us, dogs with epilepsy and right after a seizure can temporarily lose their peripheral vision. This happened to Ursa's left eye, it took a few days for her full vision to return.

No, giving the pellets won't hurt - but give her 1 at a time - 5 to 10 minutes apart, but to get the Belladonna into her blood stream super fast is to pre-dilute/dissolve the homeopathic. Ursa is on Belladonna 200CH, from Dr. Wanda.

I have to say that today was one of Wrigley's best days since her big meltdown last weekend. Hopefully we are going to see increased improvement and more good days. We have our follow up tomorrow with the neurologist and Wednesday we are seeing the Holistic vet for some new ideas.

Good news so far, Jen! Waiting to see what the holistic vet can help Wrigley with. All the best with her appts.

Are you still giving her Belladonna?

Dr. Wanda phoned today with the results of Ursa's urine test and I told her that Urs had another focal seizure last night. We blame it on the full moon phase, so Dr. Wanda is looking into a different homeopathic that might fit Ursa best during full moon phases. Always something to think about with our special girls.

On a side note, my niece's boyfriend is prone to terrible migraines and he's at his wits end because traditional drugs don't help him any more. So I suggested trying homeopathies, i.e. Belladonna - since it's good for the brain, and Arnica, he'll let me know in "words" how he does on them. The interesting factor is that 3 of Ursa's vets agree that seizures, whether before or after, cause headaches (they do in humans, too), but since our dogs can't talk, we go with symptoms and guessing.

I was, but she hasn't had any partial seizures since a few days back. I have it sitting out and my husband trained. So we'll keep using it as necessary. I read somewhere that if you give it and then they fall into a deep sleep soon after, it's working. That's happened all the times we have given it. So, I don't know. Don't want to jinx it by thinking it over too much!

Yes, this is true, that's why people and pets should take it as a maintenance before going to sleep. The body heals best when it's resting/sleeping.

Ursa was focal-seizure free last night, she's now on Bufo LM3 - a little more potent than LM2. The full moon phase is phasing out, yay!
