    Creatinine Level

Cooper has some routine blood work done and everything came back fine, except his Creatinine level which was just outside the high level - the vet said the high end of normal was 156 and Cooper came back at 164. We are going to repeat the blood work again in two months, but of course I have already started to worry. It wasn’t my usual Vet that called and I found this Vet difficult to talk to for advice on anything we should/could do in the meantime. Any input would be greatly appreciated

If the other levels were okay, I wouldn’t worry. Sounds like he was dehydrated. Does he drink enough water?

He really doesn’t drink water on a daily basis, when he does drink he empties the bowl. Any suggestions on how to increase his water intake??

Asher is picky with water as well. I put about one cup in his morning kibble and about half a cup in his PM kibble. Same mornings when we get up and he will get a solid drink. Other times, he won't even touch it. I do adjust the morning water in his kibble depending on how much he drinks when we first get up. Samson seems to do just fine on his own.

Rocky tends to drink like that. not often but emties bowl when he does.

if you want to get them drinking more, mixing some water with their kibble or putting tripe (or canned food) in with water generally gets them drinking.

I always ways put water on his kibble because it slows down his gobbling his food down and to ensure he gets water because he isn’t much of a drinker.... I’ll try putting a little bit more in his breakfast seeing as he doesn’t seem to be getting enough
