    My Vet

I like my vet but have wondered if he has kept up with the times. He is getting close to retirement. Well today I got a call from the surgeon who did Elle's op and she had got a call from my vet. He had called because she had put Elle on Baytril a wide spectrum antibiotic. He had called with the concern that this drug interferes with the growth plates in puppies. I now know that he is keeping updated on Elle's progress and carefully checking the communications between the two offices.

That must be reassuring to you. Our main vet is an older guy, maybe the world's original vet, and you do wonder if they keep up. But the "more mature" vets also have so much experience, so if he's up on recent research and practice as well, sounds like you've got a winner.
