    Samson Vomiting

Well, I thought I nursed Samson back.

Last Wednesday, received a text from my pet sitter that Samson had vomited. It was brown with only a few pieces of the apple snack I had given him before I left for work. He would have vomited between 9 AM and 2 PM. That night, I gave him his kibble. He's vomited before from eating a stick in the back ...normally just one episode. Well, not two hours after his dinner, it all came back up. So the next morning, I gave him scrambled eggs. Pet sitter texted me, those came back up. Grabbed rice and ground turkey on the way home. So Thurs PM through Friday PM dinners he kept the rice and turkey down. Saturday AM I mixed rice and kibble. Full kibble Saturday night. Well, received the text yesterday he vomited again with the same -- brown with a few pieces of the apple I gave him before I left work. All through this, he is full of energy, hungry, and normal potty breaks. Not sure what this could be. Normally once he's had bland and back to kibble, he's good to go.

I drop him off at the vet today before work. My vet is going to squeeze him in between appointments and then I'll take a lunch break to go get him and get him back home..then back to work.

Please send good thoughts. I've had so much going on with these guys the last year. Poor Samson and his knee and now his belly.

Oh dear, poor buddy! I hope it's something easily resolved.

Well, he just vomited and it was paper towels. By the looks of it, they had been in there a while. Now I'm wondering if I should take him in?

Oh Samson! What did you get into?

I’d take him to the vet just in case. If he ate paper towels maybe he also ate something else that won’t pass.

Sending good thoughts it was just paper towels!

I hope he'll be OK....definitely vet at this point.

Paper towels could cause a plug and it takes just a very little bit of stick to lodge in the pylori valve (eventually causing bloat).

All good thoughts headed your way.

Sending good thoughts that it was only the paper towels. I too think you should take him in. Maybe the vet can give him something to completely vomit out anything else that might be down there.

Paper towels? Oh Samson! I was wondering about an obstruction type situation also since Chase ate a sock and couldn’t keep his food down. I hope he’s gotten it all out!

Thanks everyone. The boy is at the vet. He was extremely happy to see the girls at the counter and the vet tech. I'm very certain they are all loving him. I sure hope he got up what was bothering him...
