Hi. I am not a big fan of antibiotics unless evidence that they are needed, as in cultures. If you need to use them, just make sure you give probiotics during and after treatment. Laser is always the route to go surgically. Sounds like you are in good hands. Hope all goes well and please keep us posted.

We arrived in Saint Hyacinthe last evening and spent the evening relaxing at the Hotel. We have just arrived at the Veterinarian Hospital and are on our way in. I will update once his testing is done. I think I am a nervous wreck, so thankful my daughter is with me to keep me company

He had an ultrasound sound at 1pm. We are just waiting to meet with the surgeon again to go over the results and plan for surgery tomorrow.

Here are are some pictures of the handsome guy on our trip down and in the hotel last evening

    QUICK UPDATE
He is pretty whiny from the sedation, and his belly has been shaved, but was very happy to see us. His ultrasound results were good ... all the swelling around his kidneys is gone, as is the swelling in his ureters. No bladder infection. His right ureter enters the bladder in the right spot, but tunnels through and ends at the prostate. The left ureter looks like it is normal, but they couldn't completely visualize it, but appeared to be putting urine into the bladder. They are almost certain they can do the minimally invasive surgery. He is cuddling with me right now, but has to go back to the Hospital for 7pm this evening. Surgery is tomorrow at 10am and should last about 3 hours.
Thanks for all the good thoughts and being with us in this journey xoxo
