Asher had his 8 week check-in today! He passed with flying colors. The surgeon said he was ahead of the power curve. Great range of motion, muscle tone, and no limp. We are now on a 3 week rehab program to allow him to ease back into full activity. He has been going to therapy once a week to include the water treadmill. I believe his weekly hour session has helped tremendously. Tomorrow will be his sixth visit. I think I'm going to extend for six more weeks.

So happy the boy gets some freedom back!! As long as all goes well the next 3 weeks, he does not need to see the surgeon again! Big sigh of relief!!

It's so hard to keep a good lab down! When Rocket Dog was spayed, the vet used standard subcutaneous sutures. I was like... uh, will that be enough? He assured me it would all be fine.

He only knew Rocket Dog as an anesthetized patient. She's the living example of Pandora's box. When she's out of her box, chaos follows. Yep. Dehissed. Went back and I think he used fence wire on her. He also sent her home with a heavy duty e-collar and some major sedatives.

You persevered. Good for you and for Asher.

Thank you! Great story on Rocket Dog. I'm not able to allow Asher off leash in the back yet. I can't wait to see him running around. Three more weeks for that.

Very nice! I'm a huge believer in extending PT. Zo benefited tremendously, especially with the water exercises and I really think it helped her in the long run.

I plan to keep both of them swimming once a week. I am amazed at how Ashers' gate has completely changed. He doesn't stretch out the front left leg like he used to. He walks normal! Love it.
