Well...after a long spell of no lameness - it returned. we got the CT of both elbows for just under $900 (not bad I think). the diagnosis was fractured coronoid process (several pieces) on the left which was the primary lame leg. Right leg showed signs of the same abnormality but it hadn't broken off yet. He had both elbows fixed this morning via arthroscopy. Surgeon said all went well; removed fragments and cleaned left, reshaped right to avoid future issues. Prognosis is good, only the potential arthritis at age, no other joint concerns

I read the descriptions of ED, this sounds similar. not sure its exactly the same but it doesn't really matter now i guess. the expensive pup will be home soon and relaxing with the fam. no more limping and lameness! cant wait. the intermittent issue was stressing us out.
