    Faced with a serious dilemma.

I have what I consider, a serious dilemma. I'm sure some snowflakes will find a way to dump on this, but then again, SJW's always find a way. If you don't agree with people intentionally breeding dogs (unless they're CKC registered or by "professionals", then please don't reply to this post). I am more than aware of your position that there are plenty of dogs that can be adopted or saved. I've heard that message loud & clear; don't need it regurgitated for the millionth time! Sorry, but it gets tiring after a while.

Here's the rub; I have two Labs. A male (in tact) chocolate Labrador Retriever, and a female (in tact) chocolate Labrador Retriever. My male will be turning three years old in two more days, and my female will be turning three years old in a few more months. Both are healthy (no known health issues) & up to date with their shots.

I love both of these guys with all of my heart, as does my wife & two sons. Nothing would make us happier than to have a puppy by both of them. Problem is, anytime he tries to mount her, she drops to the ground. She denies him access. He's been friend zoned.

I've been thinking about getting a breeding stand. From what I understand, there's two schools of thought on this :

    1) As per the loons at PETA, it's nothing more than a RAPE STAND. (Unbelievable! I can't believe they'd say something as uneducated as that, when professional dog breeders have said it's actually safer to breed dogs this way).

    2) It's the safest method to breed dogs.

I am in no way, shape and/or form a "professional dog breeder". I do however, love my dogs very much, and based on my research, I go with what dog breeders say (not animal rights activists). Nothing would make my family & I happier than having one of their pups. I don't care about the money. To my family & I, these two dogs are such wonderful creatures. We love them so dearly that we want at least one pup from them. We desperately want a pup from these two.

As I mentioned earlier, this is not a means for income. We just want one puppy from them. As for the rest, I'm more than happy to sell them (at a very low rate, or even free if I can't find buyers), but we want at least one puppy for ourselves. They are such wonderful dogs (my dogs)....that it would be a crime IMHO for them to not have a litter. Their blood line must continue.

Can somebody please give me tips on how to get these two to successfully breed? I want one of their puppies so badly. I am from the Niagara, Ontario region.

    Please help!

I'm going to close this thread. If you want to learn to breed responsibly, you can PM and I can help or direct you to someone who can help.
The rest of your post seems rather irresponsible. Has nothing to do with PETA, etc.
Pets without clearances should not be bred.
