    Cough

I noticed this morning that Dozer has an occasional cough. He is acting normal and eating and drinking well. He doesn’t seem bothered by the cough... although I am. The cough sounds like the one he has post anaesthetic from the breathing tube.
Should I wait and see if it continues or should I give the Vet a call... we are leaving tomorrow for a 4 day camping trip

Coughs, like kennel cough, are viral, so typically they have to run their course. I tend to keep buffered vitamin C and Echinacea around, and if someone starts coughing (Jack went through this for a bit...), I start giving 1 pill of each per meal to boost their immune system.

It could be seasonal allergy, the pollens and molds are very high.

My thought, too. Both of mine always gag a bit after rolling in grass or if we pass something polleny-looking on a walk.

Thanks...Dozer gets Vitamin C twice daily right now. I could add the Echinacea and see if that helps.

Dozer is still coughing.... a productive cough now (white/yellow) sputum, mostly in the morning upon getting up. I called the Vet, they are thinking it’s a virus and gave us a Remedy to give to him and also to Cooper. Dozer continues to eat, drink and act normally. Fingers crossed he doesn’t get any worse.

Cooper’s coughing now too, vomited twice...just mucous Hoping the Remedy helps soon... they just had their third dose.

And just have to comment on the campers that don’t obey the leash rule. I know my dogs are sick, they are leashed and kept on our site, walked where they won’t come into contact with other dogs... then people walk their dogs loose by our site and the dog, of course, end up running to my dogs. I call out quickly that my dogs have a respiratory virus and that sends the owner scrambling to grab their dog
