    White Spots on Puppy Face

Hi, My chocolate lab puppy (13 weeks) has a couple of white spots on her face. She had puppy strangles about five weeks ago. Not sure if this is a reoccurrence or something else?

Not a definitive picture....looks to me like a scab may have fallen off and left bare skin.

Keep an eye on it...if it starts to turn pink or swell, go to the vet. It could be the start of ringworm or something. Common with puppies.

How many spots are there? All in the same area or spread over her face? Itchy?

Thanks for your response! Two dots, on the same side of her face. One cheek, one chin. Almost look like pimples. Don't seem to itch.

OK...so not bare skin. Something that looks like a pimple should probably be seen by a vet, especially since she already had strangles. It could be something just getting started and good to nip it early on.

Maybe try a little Neosporin on it today and evaluate it tomorrow. Better? Watch. Worse? Vet.

Looks like staph, common in puppies.
