I have a few suggestions as I have had a couple cases of pano in my lines. 1) MSM-- you can buy this at feed stores in granular form. Start by giving 1000mg per day and once you are sure he's tolerating it, double the dose. It will help w/ the inflammation and w/ immune system. Works wonders for me personally w/ my spring allergies and I sincerely believe it's what brought my SLE / lupus into remission years ago. 2) Take a look at what you are feeding. You don't want a food that is encouraging fast growth. I personally have the best luck w/ Eukanuba Lg Breed Puppy as it's scaled way down in calcium, and the protein/ fat/ calories are all moderate. Some foods (even some LBP formulas) are far too "hot" for growing puppies. 3) Fish oil can help acc'g to one of my vets who happens to own one of my fast growing pups who had a mild case of Pano just a month or so ago! And agree w/ Shelley, rejoice in the dx that it's Pano!!! Good luck. Anne

Thank you Anne. I had a chat with the vet this evening and he helped calm me down... for now I will definitely try the MSM and fish oil. Vet wanted me to take him off the food I was feeder (per Breeders orders) and switch him to an Adult Maintenance formula. Time will tell!

Update: the limping got better, but is still there after 3 months. A month ago I went to see an orthopedic specialist whom didn’t feel this was still pano, and thought maybe a soft tissue injury in his shoulder. I have a follow up appt the first week of November, but I’m not feeling good about this. And of course my insurance won’t cover orthopedic diagnostics or treatment unless it’s deemed accidental. Please send all you lab board mojo. I am just sick over this

There's still time for it to prove to be pano...mojo on the way that it's not something more problematic.

Dan had recurring right shoulder/leg weirdness for a couple of years that finally went away. It always seemed to crop up after he and his mother played too rough outside...which I finally stopped letting them do because speed build-up had a lot to do with it. It never hung around long enough for me to vet him and then it just disappeared. (Dan also walks like someone strutting in a parade...front legs out to the sides a bit. Cute to watch but I'm sure that's not good for him.)

    Anyway.....mojo, mojo, mojo.....
