    Macy ate plastic wrap

When walking Macy today, she pooped normally. A few steps later, she needs to go again and I see something hanging out of her rear. She couldn't poop it out. I literally pulled two separate pieces of plastic wrap out. Since then, she is eating and drinking normally but I have my eye on her. I suspect she got in the trash and had a little feast. The plastic wrap was around a steak my son had cooked. The trash cupboard is normally bungeed but he gets lazy about it and apparently the Big Girl is an opportunist. I just hope she's okay.

Oh, Macy. Hopefully “this too shall pass” without incident.

How long between when she ate it and it reappeared? Just curious, Oban ate some and one piece took nearly a week, another three days. At least plastic has some slipperinous to it.

Please note: You should be careful of pulling things out that you didn't actually see go in or know for sure what they are. If it's wrapped around something inside, or a bag could have something larger and hard inside it, or it's very long - pulling it out could do internal damage. You're supposed to cut it off.

Macy, tsk, tsk. ETA: Slipperyness? It's slippery? LOL

Sounds like my world with Samson and Asher. I am happy to report they have not eaten anything they should not have in over 3 months. Last episode with Samson cost me 500 bucks. These guys will just eat anything....except celery!

Hope all is well and the plastic wrap is the end of it!

Snowshoe- That's good advice about cutting it off instead of pulling.I didn't think about what else may be in there. I first thought it was just a piece of grass because she loves to eat the tall grass at the lake. I was so surprised when it was the plastic wrap. She got in the trash really late Saturday night or Sunday and the plastic wrap appeared Monday evening.

She had a morning poop today (Tuesday) with no issues. Hopefully this won't turn into a $500 Samson story.

If she pooped it out when no one else was around to see you helping her, she doesn't qualify as a member of the "deliberately embarrassing" club. (Sunnie founded that club.)

Gigi is always running around with some thing she should not. I have 2 kids 7 and 10. We also have neighbours kids during summer running around. She is always doing naughty stuff.

Sounds like the steak "stayed" & the rest is being "rejected." Guess I would just keep a close eye on her for a few days & if anything seems at all out of the ordinary, otherwise, just the usual "poop patrol!"

Your garbage sounds a lot more interesting to a dog than mine would be--around here, I can't imagine any part of a steak making it into the garbage......
