This stuff is truly amazing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's the "purple solution" that some people make themselves and rave about on the internet. I have to admit that Bubba hates having his ears cleaned and runs away when I take the bottle out. I stand with him in between my legs so he can't move and hold his head at a slight angle, pour in the solution and then massage it with a cotton ball until its gone. Then I move away quickly because it can stain when he shakes. Then I give him lots of treats

On the advice of our first Lab’s breeder, we clean (as others have described using a cotton ball) using a 50-50 mix of vinegar and water.
