I hear you, such a worry....and my concern last week. Dozer ended up having diarrhea in his crate, despite being out several times throughout the day when my kids were in and out...my son found it and cleaned everything up. Poor pup was curled up in the corner of the crate
Luckily I am off today as there wasn't much sleep last night ....between runs outside and him trying to throw up in his crate. We are off to the Vet soon, I called and they still want to see him...

Good luck with the vet visit. Has there been an improvement with Dozer's dibble issue as he's gotten older?

Thank you!! His dribbling has been pretty much controlled with the Propalin Syrup he has been getting. The odd episode, but very much improved. Last week when he had the diarrhea he dribbled all over the floor, but being unwell it doesn't concern me. He didn't get his morning dose of Propalin today, as I fasted him and he has been fine...I am tempted to leave him off of it and see how he does. I would LOVE to get him off of it completely!!
The Vet analyzed the 5 inch woody poop and found some sting and fabric in it also...not sure where that came from, but toys are being checked this afternoon. They also tested the soft stool - it contained 2+ Closrtridium, so he is on a two week course of Metronidazole and a bland diet again. My poor guy really dislikes going to the Vet, he hid under the chair behind my legs..I feel so bad for him
I really hope this is it for a while....
That sounds like a nasty bit of stuff he'd gotten into. It sounds like you've got a pooch who's got to be watched at all times when he's around anything "edible"....it was lucky that there was no obstruction this time.
Sending healing thoughts for the little guy.

Sounds like he certainly found something that irritated the bowel/anus and maybe even the straining caused a small vessel to pop.
Sending good thoughts.

Thanks for the good thoughts!! He sure does need to be watched and my hubby and kids have already heard my “ he still a puppy” speech today. I think they assume because of his size that he is no longer a puppy and they all needed the reminding. Thankfully he is okay, I know from experience it could have been worse...
chili had straight blood poop as a pup and it was his food/something he ate....happened one other time after 8 hrs in a car(roadtrip). was scared to hell, but bothtimes only happened once and never came back...so I guess ate something bad.
I couldn't handle - I left work early to come check on him. He was fine in his crate. Whew. I did call my vet and he gave me some flagyl. I stopped to get it on the way home. They are so sneaky and can get into stuff so quickly. Asher has been very good so I'm not sure what he got into. Hope the meds help Cooper!
